IntelliGym is the #1 selling cognitive training software for youth athletes in soccer and hockey, designed to enhance awareness, anticipation, and decision-making on the field and ice — while also helping players stay safer. Patented and tested by NASA, the U.S. Army, DARPA, and multiple universities, IntelliGym has been proven to improve athletic performance and cognitive skills. Backed by Stadia Ventures, the largest sports VC fund in North America, IntelliGym is redefining how athletes train and prepare for competition.

Challenge

Despite being a proven product trusted by leading organizations, IntelliGym faced a unique challenge: most athletes, parents, and coaches were unfamiliar with cognitive sports training as a category. As the company grew its presence in the U.S. market, they needed a strategy to educate their audience, build brand recognition, and significantly improve return on ad spend (ROAS) and conversion rates — surpassing performance from the previous two years. The challenge also required creative positioning that communicated the product’s value in simple, accessible terms to a non-technical audience.

The Approach

AdToro developed a comprehensive digital marketing strategy tailored to IntelliGym’s goals, combining creative execution with data-driven optimization. Their work included: Creative Development: Producing video and image ads for Google and Facebook to educate and engage new audiences. KPI & CPA Definition: Setting clear performance benchmarks around each software product, accounting for pricing and training differences. Conversion Tracking & Optimization: Enhancing conversion tracking systems to provide deeper insights into campaign performance. A/B Testing & SEO: Experimenting with keywords, audiences, and messaging to refine targeting and improve results. Budget & Scaling Strategy: Collaborating closely with IntelliGym to work within budget constraints while scaling at a manageable, sustainable pace. With a dedicated team of two digital strategists, AdToro provided weekly reporting and regular strategy sessions, adapting to IntelliGym’s needs despite a seven-hour time difference. Their transparent communication and clear explanations helped demystify complex digital strategies for the client.
